Important: tap water is not drinkable. Use safe bottled water for drinking and cooking.

Arrival & access

Where can I park?

The Archontiko is directly beside the road. Parking is inside the property's reasonably spacious courtyard, accessed from the road. From the host's usual approach direction, turn left into the courtyard; the turn may be different if you arrive from the other direction. Exterior property photos can help identify it. If you have trouble, message the host.

How do I reach the upper floor?

From the parking courtyard, take the stairs leading directly to the first-floor accommodation. Message the host if you need help with luggage or access.

How do I use the smart lock?

The entrance uses a WELOCK electronic smart lock. The host personally sends the access code and instructions privately to confirmed guests. Access codes are never shared in the public AI chat. If the door does not unlock, message the host or Jehny.

How do I control indoor lights?

Indoor LED strips are controlled by MiBoxer rotary dimmers in the living room, bedroom 1 and bedroom 2. Press the center of the dimmer to switch the respective LED strips on or off. Turn the dimmer to adjust brightness.

Who controls the outdoor lights?

The host controls the outdoor lights and exterior LED strips. Message the host if you need assistance or a change. The indoor LED strips are controlled separately by MiBoxer dimmers in the living room and both bedrooms.

Who can I contact for help?

If you get lost, cannot enter or need arrival assistance, message the host or Jehny. They can help with directions. Use the contact channel shared with you or the site's contact page.

Fireplace & safety

Where is the firewood?

Ready-to-use firewood is stored in an old brass cauldron right beside the fireplace. More logs are outside in the garden, beneath the small balcony.

Where are the firelighters?

Firelighters are in the left-hand drawer of the sideboard in the living room. Small pieces of kindling wood are also provided.

How does the damper work?

When the chain is attached to the hook, the fireplace damper is CLOSED. When you release the chain from the hook, the damper is OPEN. Make sure it is open before lighting a fire. Do not close it immediately after the fire or while burning logs or hot embers remain: smoke or dangerous gases could enter the room. Ask the host when and how it may finally be closed.

How do I light the fireplace safely?

Firelighters are in the left-hand sideboard drawer, and small kindling wood is provided. Before lighting a fire, ensure the damper is open (chain released from its hook). Burn only dry logs; ask the host for suitable dry wood if any logs are damp. Ask the host for complete lighting or extinguishing instructions.

Where is the fire extinguisher?

The fire extinguisher is at the entrance, immediately to your left beside the entrance door as you come in.

Who removes the ashes?

The staff handle all fireplace cleaning and ash removal. Guests should leave ashes in the fireplace and must not move or dispose of them themselves.

What if smoke comes indoors?

If smoke enters the room, stop adding wood and do not continue using the fireplace. If it is safe, open windows for ventilation, move into fresh air and contact the host. On this fireplace the damper is open when the chain is released from the hook. If there is heavy smoke, an alarm sounds or anyone feels unwell, leave the building immediately and call 112. Do not use the fireplace again until it has been checked.

What fire-safety equipment is available?

The host confirms that the devices in the living room and kitchen are SMOKE detectors, not carbon-monoxide (CO) detectors. The fire extinguisher is to the left of the entrance door as you come in. The host confirmed there is NO fire blanket. No carbon-monoxide (CO) detector is installed. Smoke detectors do not detect CO.

How does the cooking hob work?

The hob has touch controls, and the extractor fan is switched on using its control. Detailed oven instructions have not yet been confirmed. If an appliance does not work, its circuit might have been switched off for safety. Please contact the host rather than operating the electrical panel yourself.

Where do I put the rubbish?

At Archontiko, the brown bin to the right of the kitchen and the bin under the sink (left-hand cupboard) are for general rubbish. The yellow bin is for paper, plastic and metal packaging, while the green bin is for glass packaging. There is also a small bathroom wastebasket. These colours describe the property's internal sorting system, not the official colours of municipal street bins. All bins take the same replacement bag type, available in the last kitchen drawer.

Where are the spare rubbish bags?

Spare rubbish bags are in the last kitchen drawer. The same bags fit the general rubbish bin below the sink, all three recycling bins and the small bathroom wastebasket.

Can I request more breakfast supplies?

Breakfast supplies are not replenished automatically. If you are staying for several days and need additional items, message the host to request them. Replenishment is arranged on request.

How do heating and air-conditioning work?

If the issue continues, message the host.

Subscriptions are supplied by the owner. The TV remote is on the living-room table together with the living-room air-conditioner remote. If an app does not work, contact the host. The exact button sequence and television model have not been confirmed.

What if the power goes out?

During a power cut, the emergency-exit lighting comes on. There are two battery-powered table lamps: one on the living-room shelves and one on the bedside table in the lower bedroom (below the loft, not on the building's ground floor). To switch on a lamp, tap the touch-sensitive Power symbol on top. Press and hold the same control to change its brightness. No separate handheld flashlight/torch is provided. Ask the host if you cannot find either lamp. The emergency exit is the property’s main entrance door, also used for normal access. If power or an appliance fails, message the host or Jehny; do not operate the electrical panel yourself.

Where is the emergency exit?

The emergency exit is the property’s main entrance door, not a different door. Emergency-exit lighting comes on during a power cut. No separate evacuation route has been confirmed. In immediate danger, leave safely and call 112.

Bathroom & cleaning

Where is the washing machine?

The washing machine is in the bathroom. Laundry capsules, detergent and fabric softener are kept on top of it. The host recommends selecting a lower spin speed rather than the machine's maximum 1,400 rpm. No exact spin setting or wash programme has been confirmed.

Which spin speed should I use?

The washing machine can spin at up to 1,400 rpm, but the host recommends a lower spin speed. No specific RPM setting or programme has yet been confirmed.

Where is the drying rack?

The drying rack is outside on the large balcony, and clothes pegs are in a container on the balcony.

Where are the iron and ironing board?

The clothes iron is inside the wardrobe in the kitchen, along the passage towards the bathroom. The ironing board is on the left-hand side of that same wardrobe.

The mop and regular broom are kept outside on the small balcony. There is currently no vacuum cleaner at the property.

Mid-stay cleaning during longer stays is available only by request and involves an additional cleaning-service charge. For towel or linen changes, ask the host about available arrangements and any charge; free daily changes have not been confirmed.

House rules & families

Where does everyone sleep?

The living room has a sofa bed that provides an additional sleeping space for the fifth guest. Confirmed layout: lower bedroom with one double bed and a baby cot, loft with one double bed, and living room with one sofa bed. Guests can sleep directly on the sofa as it is, without unfolding or converting it. Sheets, a pillow and a blanket for the sofa are provided in a wardrobe. The wardrobe is in the kitchen, along the passage towards the bathroom. Ask the host if you cannot find it. The sofa's exact dimensions have not been confirmed. The current booking capacity is governed by the live property settings.

Is smoking permitted?

The current published property policy does not allow smoking indoors. Please contact the host for clarification about any pending policy change.

Are pets allowed?

Up to 2 pets are allowed per stay at no additional charge, provided the host is notified before arrival. More than 2 pets are not permitted. No specific rules for sofas or beds have been confirmed.

Can I have visitors?

Quiet hours are 23:00–07:00. Friends and family can visit during the day while respecting quiet hours and the no-parties rule. Extra overnight guests require host approval.

What should families with children know?

The high chair is in the kitchen. The lower stone-walled bedroom contains one double bed together with the baby cot. This is NOT the raised loft/mezzanine sleeping area. The raised loft has one double bed. Therefore the confirmed sleeping setup is one double bed in the lower bedroom and one double bed in the loft, plus the baby cot in the lower bedroom. The living room has a sofa bed providing an additional sleeping space for the fifth guest. Guests sleep on the sofa as it is, without unfolding or converting it. Exact measurements have not been confirmed. The rented accommodation itself is on the building's upper floor; 'lower bedroom' is relative to its loft, not a ground-floor room. The existing website labels the spaces descriptively rather than using official Bedroom 1/2 numbering. Contact the host if you need help with baby equipment. Supervise children closely near the loft railings.

Where is the first-aid kit and what does it contain?

The first-aid kit is on the shelf at the bathroom entrance, with the guest amenity items. It includes painkillers, gauze, rubbing alcohol and Betadine subject to availability. Consult a pharmacist or doctor if unsure about medicine use. Call 112 in a serious emergency.

Where are the smoke detectors?

Smoke detectors are installed in the living room and kitchen. The fire extinguisher is left of the entrance door as you come in. The host confirmed that there is NO fire blanket. There is no installed carbon-monoxide (CO) detector. Smoke detectors do not detect CO.

What should I do when it rains?

When it rains, pay attention to the windows and especially the shutters: if the shutters are left open, water may enter the house. Close them in time and inform the host if water comes in.

Are umbrellas or an umbrella stand available?

Umbrellas are not currently provided for guests. There is an umbrella stand at the entrance, immediately to the left of the door. You may use it for your own umbrella.

How do I report a problem?

If something is damaged, an appliance fails or you cannot get in, message the host or Jehny. In an immediate serious emergency, call 112 first.

Outdoor areas & departure

May I use the courtyard?

The courtyard, balconies and available outdoor spaces may be used by guests. The garden is planned to be improved soon, but improvements have not been confirmed complete.

Are outdoor tables available?

Outdoor tables are available for guests. A barbecue or BBQ equipment has not been confirmed.

What should I do at checkout?

When leaving, please tidy what you reasonably have time for. No full clean is required. Ensure the door is closed and take care with shutters when it rains.

Where do I leave recycling?

You do not need to take recyclable packaging outside; you may leave it at the property. The three internal bins to the right of the kitchen are sorted as follows: yellow for paper, plastic and metal packaging; green for glass packaging; and brown for general rubbish. This is the Archontiko house sorting system, not a rule for municipal collection bins.

Can I check out late?

Late checkout or luggage storage must be agreed with the host and cannot be guaranteed, because a new check-in may follow. No specific fee has been confirmed.

Are there essential shops nearby?

Thymiana village has a bakery, mini markets and pharmacies. Public listings include Artos Imon bakery, Mamali Kornilia mini market and pharmacies run by Themistoklis Ioannidis and Despoina Hameti. These are independent research leads, not host-endorsed favorites. Check maps and opening hours; exact distance from Archontiko is unverified.
